Built on years of global hospitality design experience, we are now growing into ownership and operation, laying the foundation for the first Nomadic Escapes with aligned capital and collaborators.
Our Escapes
Our off-grid sanctuaries – ranging from refined cabins to elevated tented suites and treehouses - are seamlessly woven into the landscape, offering immersion without intrusion. Every detail invites reflection, stillness and connection.
Cuisine is central to the Nomadic experience, with each destination serving traditional recipes and locally sourced ingredients in an architecturally exquisite dining space.
Wellness unfolds through nature's own apothecary, where our spas blend ancient botanical knowledge with contemporary craft, designed to restore balance and awaken the senses.

Nomadic Resorts
Nomadic Resorts is the engineering, development and construction arm of the Nomadic group based in Mauritius.
Over the last decade, we have brought to life eco-resorts, tented camps, floating lodges, private islands, and treetop dining pods from the Pacific coast of Mexico to the mountains of Taiwan.
Using an integrated, modular approach, we create sustainable tents, tree houses and cabins that reflect a true sense of place and fit organically into their surroundings.
We have worked on numerous luxury resorts, retreats and camps in far-flung places for industry pioneers Tamara, Leela, Domes, Six Senses, Soneva, Lux, and Banyan Tree.
Awards & Recognition
Atelier Nomadic
Atelier Nomadic is the architectural design studio at Nomadic Resorts.
The Rotterdam based studio was founded in 2014 and is led by Olav Bruin and Giulia Pastore.
The studio specializes in biophilic architecture, regenerative master planning and bamboo architecture and has worked on projects across Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas. The studio has been honored with numerous prestigious international awards.

Louis Thompson
Founder and CEO
Louis is a designer and entrepreneur, with 20 years of experience working with some of the world's leading hotel groups taking eco-resort, treehouse, lodge, spa retreat and tented camp projects from inception through design, engineering, construction, pre-opening to successful operation.
Olav Bruin
Creative Director, Atelier Nomadic | Founder, Nomadic Resorts
Dutch architect Olav Bruin specializes in biophilic architecture using locally available sustainable materials that fit symbiotically into their natural surroundings as he believes that architecture should serve as a bridge to connect nature, culture and people.
Antony Paton
Head of Operations
A hotelier with over forty-five years of experience in the many areas of the hospitality industry, Antony has worked in senior roles with the Jordanian Royal Family, Marriott Hotels, The Peninsula Group, Six Senses, Coco Collection and has had a long and happy association of 16 years with Soneva Resorts.

With a background spanning Communications, Law, and Interior Design, Ashleigh unites creative vision with strategic precision and legal insight. At Nomadic Escapes, she shapes brand strategy, investor relations, and growth across global markets, guiding the company's expansion into the United States.
